On the last day of 2020, we collected these omphalinoid fruiting bodies from the Himfa park forest. Found emerging from a mossy cliff and seemingly from the soil, they had no distinct smell, and there was no visible green thallus around the base of the stipe. Our initial investigations began within the genera Arrhenia, Omphalina, and Lichenomphalia, but after failing to reach a conclusive identification, the dried sample was sent to Dima Bálint. Shortly after, we received the result of the molecular analysis, confirming that this represents a first record for Hungary, the species Pseudolaccaria pachyphylla. Many thanks for the analysis once again!
