Ha jól olvastam, elég jó elkülönítő lehet a két fő guttations cseppet tartalmazó, hasonhorse méretű, alakú hyaline spóráknál a sejtmagok száma. A Dumontiniáknak elvileg 4 (néha 6) van, a Sclerotiniáknak kettő.
